The Death of Man
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Man, thus, was a spiritual being—an incarnate of God personified in flesh—until, the Great sin which resulted in The Great Fall of Man.
Genesis 1.27
In the genesis of creation, Man was configured as a trinity of a body, a soul and a spirit. This affirms Man as a facsimile of God’s divinity in the Trinity. Through the deception of the serpent, an alchemy of evil began and it transmutated the concept of Man. Sin, the root of carnality, corrupted Man and in its flourishing, it can be metaphorically described as a predatory species that fed on the spiritual virtue of Man. Sin contended with the Spirit of Man as conceptualized in Romans 8:7 – Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
When man perpetrated the heinous act of disobedience and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, HE DIED! The plummet of Man after the Great Sin of Disobedience marked the death of the Spirit-person of Man. Genesis 3.3 – But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
Not on a corporeal plane but spiritually—the worst manner of death. This event alluded that when the mortal being of man died, he would be forever plunged in a chasm of nothingness—a mere fade away because the Spirit akin to the post-mortality season of Man exists no more.
The scriptures say in Romans 8.6 – For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. We are brought to the understanding that to be carnally minded is death. Mankind fell from being principally a spiritual being to being a carnal being. Carnality is mortality which is death. God desires spirituality for mankind. Spirituality is eternity. Spirituality is life.
In a proverbial tone, it can be paraphrased as this: A Spiritual Man is Alive. A Non-spiritual Man is dead! Romans 8.10 – And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

The Resurrection of Man
A thousand many years after The Great Sin, God began a work of reparation for the resurrection of Man through the infusion of a new Spirit—a new life. Prophecies of this divine initiative from Prophet Isaiah forerun the agenda as in Isaiah 38.16 – O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live. God sought to reform the severed connection of His Spirit to Man.
The first cascade of events in God’s plan was Jesus’ birth. Jesus was born, so he could die, for the redemption of mankind. As prophesied by Jeremiah in Jeremiah 23.6 – In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
The Great Day of The Reawakening of the Spirit-person of Man proceeded with the death of Jesus Christ, the next cascade in His plan. Romans 6.23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God readministered a new life into mankind through the death of Jesus Christ. Only after the death of Jesus Christ did this new spirit come upon Man. Remember, on the Day of Pentecost, when the Spirit of God rested on every individual in the upper room and restored the life of Man. That Spirit restoration is the Holy Spirit! Ephesians 1.13 – In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
The Holy Spirit embodying the manifest holiness of God is the compensation of Man’s former spirit; A precious restitution from mortality into immortality. Thus Man can become alive once again by the injection of the Spirit.
But Man only manifests this spirit when he yearns for the Spirit. The premier stage of purity is when a Man in his heart thinks and observes to be pure. You must crave the nature to be the Nature.
In the next article, the discourse shall be on this new Spirit-person of Man: The Holy Spirit.
