MAN IS LIGHT; MAN AS LIGHT

The body of a human glows, emitting visible light in small quantities at levels that rise and fall in the day. Yes! You’re glowing! Weakly, faintly, but you’re glowing nonetheless.

Last week, I brought to our knowledge about God, about Light, and about God as Light, and God being the Light. How God has proven himself to be light should not be new to us anymore, I have established those facts in the previous article.

Now it’s important to know man, and how man is Light as well.

Since we are children of God, our Father cannot be light and we dwell in darkness. It’s not possible. A child ought to be like his father.

First of all, let us take a good look at the definition of man.

Why are we here?

It is important to take a good look at Gen 1:26-27, for us to know the true identity of the man. The Bible says, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”

Yes! Man was created to have dominion. Not only that, man was also going to be a creature that would represent God. He was going to be an example of God, he was going to function according to how God functions.

Let me say something shocking. Man is not an original being. If you study the blueprint of the creature called “Man”, you will realize that Man is a copy of another “God” and that is why the Bible says, “Let us create man in our image.” So God is the original, man is a copy.

In other words, if you want to describe man, you must have seen God, because man was created in His image.

In other words, when you see yourself in the mirror, you see God. You are a god on earth, you have dominion. You are in the image of God. You are Imago Dei.

Man As Light.

Light in the scripture has always carried an expression of grace, power, and an expression of God himself. Hence, we shall experience all these things once we have the light of God in us.

We all know Light is essential for everyone who wants to advance in life. In other words, to advance in life, we need light. With light, we rule our world.

A very important way we can live as light is by studying the word of God. The word of God is light, you can never talk about light when the word of God is absent.

Light in the scripture has always carried an expression of grace, power, and an expression of God Himself. Hence, we shall experience all these things once we have the light of God in us.

You are not ordinary. God did not create you to be ordinary.

He created you to be the Light!

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. – Matthew 5:14-16.

As children of God, as in Mathew 5:14-16, we are the light of the world.

We ought to see Jesus as our role model; we ought to be Christ-like. It is not impossible. We can make a difference when it comes to being the light for others.

We should make a difference. We should not live as children of the world. We are children of God!

Practice humility, have faith, spread the gospel, win souls, and praise God even during bad times.

You are Light. Show the Light to the world.

Now, it is important to know that Man is Light. Of course, we’re light, our Father is Light and we’re created in His image.

But, did you know that the body of humans glows?

Do you know you’re glowing as you’re reading this article? Well, you are.

Many living creatures including fireflies, jellyfish, etc are known for producing their own light. But virtually, all living things including us, emit some degree of light so weak that it’s very hard to detect.

In 2009, Japanese scientists captured “Bioluminescence” on humans for the first time using a camera. Bioluminescence is defined as “the biochemical emission of light by living organisms such as glow-worms and deep-sea fish.”

Humans glow in the dark, but the glow is a thousand times weaker than what we can see with our physical eyes. On average, you are literally at your brightest at 4:00 pm.

Humans are bioluminescent, we glow in the dark!

Isn’t that amazing?

Isn’t that enough proof, that you and I are light? God is truly the all-knowing God. He’s omniscient. He did everything for his pleasure. Do you know how many other things you have instilled in you?

You are Light!
