Upon the cross, his blood spilled, body scarred by merciless whips,
Eyes aflame with pain, his torn form a testament to sacrifice.
Thorned crowns pierced his skin, yet he clung to the crucifix in agony,
Silent in thirst, weary from the journey, hands and feet bearing the weight.

How, then, can I willingly embrace sin when he paid the ultimate price?
Shall I deliberately incur debts when another’s blood secured my redemption?
How can I, in unreasonable disregard, spurn the God whose love bestowed life anew? Oh, beleaguered flesh! Why entice me toward sinful desires, ignoring the sacrifice?
How can you lead me astray, disregarding the profound offering?

Banish, oh flesh, and grant me liberation.
Recede, sinful urges, for I am delivered.
Vanish, death, for life is graciously bestowed upon me.
Retreat, ye devils, for reconciliation with my Father is my refuge.
Be gone, unbelief, for in his blood, my faith is anchored.

Dissipate, lustful desires, for my longing is solely for him.
Recoil, lies and sin, for I am sanctified.
Away, away, away! The blood of the One who died for me marks my redemption.
Depart, Satan, sin, flesh, doubt, and ungodly desires, for I am ransomed, and the price is paid.
