THE GENESIS PROJECT

The Genesis Project is essentially a spiritual exploration of the Creation Story from the thorough-going lens of a mad scientist, bent to find every atom of testament of the God-factor from every atom of matter and antimatter present in the millions, and billions, and trillions of the observable universe.

BOOK RATING & REVIEW

☆☆☆☆☆

Leke Alder is one of my favourite writers. I read and engage a lot of his thought-provoking notes on social media. For all I know, Leke Alder is the most prolific writer in the Nigerian blogosphere. He has been writing for decades, and if you check on his Instagram page, you’ll probably discover he has submitted another piece of meditation in an interminable catalogue of cogent literal works.

And of course, Leke Alder is not just a quotidian attention-seeker looking to gather engagements for his brand, far from it. No true writer, thinker, reader happens upon his article and has not spent a considerable reading time meditating on one, and two, or three of highly logical, thoroughly convincing and definitively apologetic pieces of writing of his tabloid. For a fact, the reader must come mentally prepared to digest Leke’s works.

And it was in such seeker’s adventure I sought to consume Leke Alder’s “The Genesis Project” – but from the critical perspective of a skilled reader of published masterworks. Having ascertained the credibility of Leke Alder as a certified essayist, I was keen to examine the validity of his literal aptitude in authorship.

I was prepared to identify the loopholes readily identified with most Nigerian works; but I was not quite prepared to be awed and humbled by the masterly intellectual-cum-scientific-cum-spiritual height of a creative genius.

From the beginning of the reading, you find yourself captured by the promise of an encounter – a divine enlightenment of sorts – and as you read onwards, you find yourself translated into a realm of awe, inspiration and revelation. And as you read furtherdown the pages, you are astounded by the fine presentation of scientific theorems facts; brilliant articulation and juxtaposition with logic, history and origin; and the majestic exposition of imaginary represantations, supernatural verities – all in concert with the Divine Attributes.

The Genesis Project is essentially a spiritual exploration of the Creation Story from the thorough-going lens of a mad scientist, bent to find every atom of testament of the God-factor from every atom of matter and antimatter present in the millions, and billions, and trillions of the observable universe.

The Pillars of Creation are set off in a kaleidoscope of color in NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope’s near-infrared-light view.

The Genesis Project fires up the imagination remarkably. It invites you to “In the Beginning”, from Genesis 1 – but with all of the fantastical drama and imaginative language that trails all the great adventure stories you can think of. Only this time, it attempts to articulate that which is divine, sublime, and exotic, in the simplest of grammar – the basics of logic and the premise of science put together.

Using the Book of Genesis as case study, the book investigates, quite vigorously, the Principle of God, the principle of Light, the principle of Time, the principle of Space, the principle of Planetary bodies and the principle of man – amongst a stardust of gravitational forces, quantum interpretation, gaseous energies, molecules, protons, atoms, and neutrons in a determined bid to find God operative is a solid material world.

In his best laymen language, Leke Alder as invited the curious reader to journey along in his incredulous adventure of identifying, investigating, and verifying the 4th-dimesnion world from a basic 3rd-dimensional human mind. But a caveat, only an inquisitive reader will be transported into the savant forcefield of Leke’s noble ambition. This book is for no shallow-minded human.

But for the initiated psycho-reader, the more you read along, the more you long for more of the space trip into the celestial plots, narratives, metaphysics, materialities and dimensions packed into the book – as you again flip to the next chapter.

I daresay, Leke Alder is to Nigeria what Carl Sagan is to the United States of America. And frankly, I daresay, even more so. Unlike Carl who, for all his formidable scientific discoveries and masterworks in literature, could not find God manifest in science, Leke Alder wins by a fine margin for the manner he relentlessly demonstrated God as the Visible Force behind the science.

Needless to say, Leke Alder tried his possible best in the best possible manner to convince the most diehard atheist and the most cynical scientist to find God in plain sight.

God wins; therefore Leke Alder wins.

Quotes

  • We will always be limited, until we cross into higher dimensions. Then we will know even as we’re known. There’s a whole lot out there we can’t know, even if we want to know. What is the dimension of the human spirit for example? Nobody knows. How can thousands of demons occupy a man? They are not microscopic! They are beings! How can the dimensionless Holy Spirit dwell inside a man with spatial dimensions? How can limitlessness dwell within limits? In spatial terms, how can God be in man and man be in God at the same time? These are higher dimensional concepts. There is so much we can’t know because we are creatures of space-time. God is too deep, too high and too wide to be fully apprehended in 3D.
  • That the Bible is written the way it is shows how far God is willing to bend to get information across to us.
  • Unlike an Earth day, a creation day doesn’t end. Its design is conceptually radical. It’s unlike anything you know, and you can’t imagine it.
  • There are over 100 sextillion or 100 billion trillion stars in the universe. Yet only six thousand are visible to the naked eye. With the aid of binoculars you may be able to spot up to fifty thousand.
  • Light was created 300,000 years after the big bang. But light didn’t stop after its creation. It continued to travel and is still travelling. That’s why we can detect it on our radio and TV sets. Light didn’t end on Creation Day 1.
  • Even though light was created on the first day, light is still travelling. The stars were formed on the second day but stars are still being born. Creation days are continuous. They don’t end.
  • Creation is fruitful. Creation multiplies. After God initiates creation, creation goes on by itself. It is self-regulatory and auto regulated. When you think about it, it seems that there’s a super software running all of creation.
  • Creation is running on autopilot. An industrial strength software is clearly at play. Creation is one huge and humongous ecosystem. Everything is integrated. There is a food chain. And the law of Genesis holds true in all circumstances: Creatuon is fruitful. Creation multiplies. The plants keep multiplying, animals keep multiplying, man keeps multiplying, even space is multiplying. It is expanding.
  • Some erroneously believe that the Bible says that Earth is 6000 years old. That is not true…The Adamic generation, the one to which we belong is just over 6000 years old. From Adam to David was 2000 years; from David to Jesus Christ was 2000 years; from Jesus Christ till now is just over 2000 years.
  • The elements from which man was made – Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Calcium, Phosphorus – much of which scientists call “heavier elements” were forged in the stars.
  • There is so much we know about the Universe. But there is too much we don’t know and can’t know. As space expands, it will expand beyond our reach and beyond our powers of detection.
  • Unknown to scientists, the inquisitiveness is ultimately a search for spirituality – a thirst for the things that are “revealed.” The quest of science is a quest for faith.
