Starry heavens, dazzling with exceeding brilliance,
Could one but reach the stars and rejoice in the Festival of Lights,
Earthling though I am?
Fantasies and dreams are for mortals,
I’m yet reminded by homos, made of same garment as I;
Our lots on Earth is to be humans,
And to be humans on Earth is our lots.
Why else must we wear upon our essence,
Vestures clayed in a solid constitution of body?
“Heretofore, I concurred with the sapience of human knowledge,
Thousands of years on Earth and counting,
Gravity, the great goddess,
Shall not have her law overridden by misbegotten dreamers;
Whatever goes up must come down,
Back where he belongs.
Staring at the beckoning stars in heaven this moment,
I can no more put away the tug inwards,
Drawing me each moment,
Starward and nearer to partake in the joys of the Light.
Yet, Gravity never slumbers,
She stands vigilant,
Guarding the border to Dreamworld, turning back each soul,
That’s assumed a position above humans;
Not in your life, she says,
Whatever goes up must come down.
How then shall I secure a passage to the Great Beyond?
Shall I snuff out my life, shed off flesh and blood, to bypass that eldritch Guardswoman?
What becomes of this Higher Call, to rise above the estate of mere mortals,
Whilst I’m yet mortal?
Shall I watch times and seasons pass by idly,
While I wait patiently for that life-changing hour,
When body, nor Gravity, shall no longer forslow my sojourn,
Into the galactic realms?
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted”,
whispers Ecclesiastes.
A time to be born, and a time to die…
As I yet ponder on this mystery,
Ever slowly, but surely,
Starlight from up yonder, beam light upon my awearied heart!
The sole message: Become a light-bearer.
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”,
Isaiah commands.
Of this simplicity of Truth, and the beauty of Illumination,
Shall no knowledge, or perception, or wisdom, ever outshine.
The billions of stars in the sky, may not become humans;
The billions of humans on earth, may not become stars.
But, the radiance of starlight teleports all gravitational forces,
To give to man the gift of Light,
And in such manner,
Man can reach the stars and rejoice in the Festival of Lights,
Earthling though he is!
Even now, you are a Star;
And evermore shall be.
“For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.”
“Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.”
