Witness I

Psalm 26 vs 1 [Adapted]

Mold me, O Lord, for I am broken.
Repair me, O Lord, for I am flawed.

This is the testament of my witnessing.
Wash me clean and make me new.

Like a blank paper, wipe my slate.
Judge me O Lord, try my heart.

But be merciful in your wrath.
Holy one, expunge me till I become more like you.

O ancient one, my heart pants for you as the sea
pants for water, as the leaves pant for sunlight.

O Potter, break me till I am made
into the blueprint of your perfect purpose.

Build me into a cathedral where your glory is a choir of wonders.

I seek the grace of your hands and the miracle of your lips,
for your words are fireworks of testimonies.

I seek your face. Today, I behold and I become
a reflection pictured in the mirror of you.

To say, like parallel lines running together,
I want to be with you, talk with you, laugh with you,
until we are a marriage of spirits.

This is the testament of my witnessing.
To behold, until I am.

I seek the grace of your hands and the miracle of your lips,
for your words are fireworks of testimonies.

Witness II

Isaiah 43 vs 8 [Adapted]

There are many with eyes yet they cannot see.
Many with ears, yet they cannot hear.

Many talk to the Father
but the Father knows them not.

Many qavvah-ing in the spirit,
yet they do not have a tribe in Heaven.

Many preach the gospel of the Word
but the Word is dead in them.

Many speak but God hears not.
Many chant but only a thin echo of their voice reaches Heaven.

Many worship with no knowledge of their God.
Many behold, yet they cannot see.

Many burn in flame for God with no fire.
Many chosen but hearken not.

Many called but hear not.
Many beckon but the Father cannot reach them.

Many with hearts groomed in prayer,
Yet defiled with the desires of the flesh.

Dear Lord, teach us to see, to hear,
that we may know the things of your glory.

The ignorant perishes in the knowledge of his unknowing.
Teach us O Lord to know.

Know us O Lord.
